With this module the student will be able to learn the basics of digital fabrication, learning the core concepts of 3D printing, Laser cutting and CNC milling. The goal for this course is to go from bits to atoms, bridging the gap between the virtual and physical world. Students will explore the 3 different technologies, learning when and why to choose those processes for prototyping and exploring the different machines.

Each technology (3D printing, Laser cutting and CNC milling) are explained in a separate unit, covering the main concepts of them, how they work, which materials can be used in each case and how to design for them. All of this together with examples and activities to complement their learning.
