VILNIUS TECH is one of the biggest research universities in Lithuania with a focus on technologies and engineering, and strong emphasis on university-business cooperation. Vinius Tech has 8 500 students (12,7% international – degree seeking or exchange) and 10 faculties. It’s Creativity and Innovation centre “LinkMenu fabrikas” was established in 2015 and is a collaborative makerspace with modern tools for prototyping & media: 3D printing, electronics, wood, metal, 3D modeling, animation, virtual & augmented reality, foto, video, audio. It’s the home of creative community – where students, researchers and entrepreneurs find each other and connect for creative projects.

The Design Factory of the Riga Technical University’s (RTU) Science and Innovation Centre – part of the Design Factory Global Network – is a platform for students that promotes development of innovative ideas, mutual cooperation, establishment of professional contacts with the industry representatives and forms business competencies. The Design Factory runs «theLAB» – an open-type workshop where RTU students, employees and scientists have an opportunity to materialise their inventions by using the technological capabilities of 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, plotting, large-format printing and other auxiliary tools.
